The andro KIDS OPEN 2026

The 35th edition in 2026—August 21–23, 2026
Europe’s largest table tennis tournament for children and youth will once again take place at the German Table Tennis Center in 2026. In August 2026, many talented young table tennis players will once again gather at Staufenplatz to compete for trophies and great prizes. But despite the competition at the table, the andro Kids Open is above all a huge table tennis celebration where children and teens make many new friends from all over Germany and around the globe and have fun together.
The competitions will take place at 44 tables and in three halls. As usual, singles and doubles matches will be played in six age groups. For the youngest participants, the NRW Talent Cup will be held on the sidelines of the event, as is tradition, where young athletes can compete year after year in events such as the long jump and target throwing.
We’re looking forward to a fantastic tournament that’s gaining international recognition year after year. Children and teenagers from all corners of the world—near and far—will be there. They’ll be joined by a large number of coaches and many volunteers—it’ll be packed, it’ll be loud, and it’ll be absolutely amazing!

In addition to great sports, there’s also an exciting side program where children, parents, and caregivers can take a break between rounds or—for those who haven’t worn themselves out yet—continue competing. A large bounce house, box climbing, goal-shooting games, table tennis tables of all sizes, and a table tennis expo by sponsor andro ensured that boredom was never an issue.
Plus, there are always one or more surprises! Last year, for example, after a short exhibition tournament, our Bundesliga pros spent nearly two hours signing autographs so that absolutely everyone who wanted one could get a signature and a selfie. And our head coach, Danny Heister, will also be there and will invite everyone to join in for a training session or two.
